Violet-green Swallow Nest Box Pictures
This nest box has gone through many changes in the last month. On April 31, 2000, a pair of Western Bluebirds started nest construction. By week 3, the female laid six eggs. During week 5, the eggs hatched and were preyed upon by a gopher snake. Also in week 5, shortly after the nest box was snake-proofed, a pair of Violet-green Swallows moved in. April 30- May 7 : Bluebird pair building a nest. |

May 8-14: Eggs 1-5 were laid. |
| Week 3 |
May 15-21: 6th egg was laid this week followed by incubation. |
| Week 4 |
May 22-28: Female incubates. |
| Week 5 |
