These photos were taken in early March, 2001. The bluebirds seemed to hang around all winter even with snow on the ground and daily temperatures of 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit. On March 23rd, two pairs of bluebirds were seen going in and out of nests boxes near the Trailfinders Lodge. Seems too early for them to be thinking about nesting!

These photos were taken in July and August of 2000 soon after the juveniles fledged from their nearby nest boxes on the reserve. Most of these juveniles were banded while they were still in the nest boxes at a young age.
