On May 1, 2001 a Mountain Chickadee pair started building a nest in nest
box #31. They abandon the nest and box a few days later.
The first layer of the Mountain Chickadee nest was made of lichens and
mosses.
Shortly after the chickadees abandoned the nest box, a pair of Violet-green
swallows moved in.
The pair of Violet-green Swallows started building on top of the chickadee
nest on May 16, 2001.
The female started laying her eggs on May 27, 2001. She incubated her
eggs until June 13, 2001.
